Other Scholarship and Grant Opportunities
Scholarship and grant opportunities are often available from a variety of sources and students are encouraged to seek out these opportunities to help finance their education. Federal law requires that students notify the College of all financial awards made available to them. Award amounts are incorporated into a need-based financial aid package for students with financial need. Students not receiving need-based aid will receive a direct credit against tuition and mandatory fees.
Charter One Bank TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship
The TruFit Good Citizen Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate the difference they have made in their communities through volunteering. Students must submit an essay or video describing what they do to help others in the community and the world. There are a total of 40 scholarships that total $50,000. For further information including official rules and to submit an application, please visit www.charterone.com/scholarship. The entry period opens on April 1st.Private Scholarships (Outside Awards)
All students are required to notify the Office of Financial Aid of any grant, scholarship or other awards that they have received from a source other than Kenyon College. By law, the College MUST reduce any need-based awards proportionately, beginning first with the self-help components (loans and employment) of the financial aid package. Reducing self-help ultimately helps students by reducing the amount that must be earned on campus or repaid at a later date. We recommend you start a search for privately funded scholarships here.
