The Kenyon College Need-Based Grant is made available by the College and is supported by endowments, gifts to Kenyon, and College operating funds. The amount of the grant is determined based on the need demonstrated on the student's financial aid applications. Grants are awarded on an annual basis and require a new financial aid application each year to determine eligibility.Ohio College Opportunity Grant and Pennsylvania State Grant are two common need-based grant programs available to qualified residents in those states.Federal Pell Grants are awarded by the federal government based on the FAFSA application. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) are administered by Kenyon College with funds also provided by the federal government. Both programs are available to students with exceptional need and incorporated into a Kenyon need-based financial aid package.
