The Writing Center

Welcome to the web site of the Kenyon College Writing Center.

Our mission, we tell student writers, is "to save the world and help you write more beautiful papers."

Our philosophy is that writing is a way of learning.

Our staff is comprised of talented students with an interest in teaching writing to others. We call them Writing Consultants. They major, minor, and have interests in almost every department on campus. Their job is to conduct individual conferences with writers and suggest alternatives to consider.

Usually writers just walk in during our open hours, but you can also schedule a meeting with a Writing Consultant by using our google calendar.

We are located on the ground floor of Olin Library, in room 131, accessible through the door to Olin Auditorium or through the Center for Innovative Pedagogy.

Open: Sundays through Thursdays 1:30-4:30 and 7:30-10:30, and Friday 1:30-3:30 from the second week of each semester until the last reading day of exam week.
