Sustainability at KenyonHow do campus life and sustainability coincide?
Sustainability ideals are deeply integrated into life on the hill. Nestled in rural Ohio, Kenyon embraces the abundance of nearby resources with a unique local foods program. Students study sustainability in the classroom at home and many choose to pursue environmental projects while abroad. Beyond the classroom, Kenyon supports an array of opportunities for student involvement, with growing interest every year. Student groups include ECO (Environmental Campus Organization) and PEAS (People Endorsing Agrarian Sustainability), Food Co-Op, and Land Lords, an environmental service organization (Land Lords). Also, the Brown Family Environmental Center is a resource for Kenyon students and the greater Knox County community.
