The Kenyon Buddhist Society is an organization committed to cultivating mindfulness in all its members by creating a safe, stress-free environment to serve as a needed respite from chaotic campus life. Meditation will be our primary tool—the act of sitting and monitoring the breath for long periods of time incubates consciousness not only in those moments of quiet but also in everyday life. There is an unparalleled inner strength and serenity associated with awareness, and, through disciplined meditation, we hope to give students the opportunity to develop this skill.
