Tamara Seckel, Adjunct Instructor of Voice

Tamara Seckel, soprano, has performed in roles, recital and concerts throughout the Midwest and New York. She has sung with Lyric Opera Cleveland and Opera Columbus, as well as concerts at the Cleveland, Toledo, and Columbus Museums of Art. She has been the soloist for world premieres with the Columbus Guitar Society and the Cleveland Institute of Music orchestra. She has sung at the Cleveland Art Song Festival, and was a past winner of the Stelia and Sofia Vassos prize in French Art Song.

She is soprano soloist with Early Interval, Columbus' early music ensemble. She sings regularly with Columbus Bach Ensemble and Lancaster Chorale. Most recently she was soprano soloist for the Mozart Requiem under Maurice Casey and also with the Columbus Chamber Singers. She was the featured artist for the 2003 Fairfield First Arts concert series. She is section leader and soloist with Worthington United Methodist Church, and is a seasonal section leader for the Temple Israel Choir. She sang previously for 11 years as cantor and section leader for St. Joseph Cathedral choir and schola. She is also on the faculty of Capital University Community Music School.
