Previous teaching experience includes Carthage College and the University of Wisconsin at Parkside, where Kevin taught courses in acting, directing, voice, Shakespeare, theatre for young audiences, and theatre history.
Acting experience includes the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Chicago Shakespeare, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Portland Center Stage, San Jose Rep, Yale Rep, Shakespeare & Company, and the American Theatre Company. Favorite roles include Richard III at ISF, Berowne in Love's Labour's Lost at Milwaukee Shakespeare, and a member of the original cast of the 2006 Pulitzer Prize Finalist The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow. He has national film and commercial credits and is a member of Actors' Equity and the Screen Actor's Guild.
Kevin has recently directed productions for Renaissance Theatreworks, Northlight, Racine Theatre Guild, Citadel, Carthage College, and UW-Parkside, where he began developing a series of original 30-minute adaptations of Shakespeare's plays called The Billy Shakespeare Project. He has written several plays that have received productions at Northlight, Infamous Commonwealth, Factory Theater and PS-NBC, and staged readings at the O'Neill Theatre Center and the Manhattan Theatre Club. He has professional experience as a text and dialect coach, and has recently been accepted to the Certification Program in Fitzmaurice Voicework. Kevin worked for several years as a motivational speaker for Monster.com, and in 2008 formed his own workshop company, facilitating workshops at colleges, high schools, and theatre festivals on a variety of subjects including Shakespeare, puppet-making, and creating your own opportunities in the professional theatre.
