If you are in an emergency situation, call Kenyon's Emergency Response Hotline, extension 5555 immediately. This number initiates Incident Command and allows us to keep, to study, and to maintain records required by law.
The Office of Environmental Health and Safety seeks to assist your compliance with International, Federal, State, and Local laws. While the focus of the office is predominately on hazardous materials (any biological, chemical or radiological substance with the potential to cause harm to human or ecosystem health) safety, the office also plays a role within the larger institutional compliance arena. Contact with me any questions or concerns.
Safety is everyone's responsibility. The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 section (5)(a) and (b), or the General Duty Clause, entitles all employees to a healthy and safe working environment. Each employee has a role in creating and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment. If you notice any unsafe working conditions, have concerns, or have questions, please contact me immediately.
Have an idea on how to make Kenyon a better work place? You have three options: a Presidential Advisory and Communications Team (PACT) representative (for administrative and staff personnel), a PACT subcommittee, or Fresh Ideas . The PACT website contains more information about the various subcommittees. With Fresh Ideas, you have the ability to win a prize. Good luck!
