Brian Jones has been teaching at Kenyon since 1995, but in 2000 he became a part-time evening instructor to accommodate being a daytime dad to his two daughters. His research interests are applied probability, random graphs, mathematical modeling, combinatorial probability, and generating functions. Jones has worked in industry as a process development engineer, a mathematical modeler, and a statistical analyst of plastic foam processing. He endeavors to work examples from his industrial experiences into the classroom. In his spare time, Jones enjoys music, reading, baseball and softball, roller-blading, canoeing, and juggling.
