To join the Writing Center staff, submit an online application to firstname.lastname@example.org (forms are also available in Olin 131).
Once your application has been submitted, you may also be asked to submit a writing sample, usually a short paper written for a Kenyon class.
Applications are due one week after spring break for staff positions available for the following year, ordinarily starting with the fall semester.
Students who work in the Writing Center are required to participate in an August orientation program introducing the theory and practice of peer tutoring in writing.
Either concurrently with their first semester of work or prior to being hired, staff members must take EXPL 291 for one semester. This is a quarter credit pass/fail course on composition theory and writing center practice.
