Kenyon alumni/ae are invited to participate in general surveys about Kenyon and surveys focused on department specific experiences, the results of which are incorporated into departmental reviews.
In order to prevent survey fatigue among alums, Kenyon strives to contact an individual alumnus/a with survey invitations no more than twice during each academic year. This means that not every member of a particular class will be invited to participate in all surveys, but the majority of alums will receive surveys.
Kenyon's youngest alumni are surveyed the spring and summer one year after their graduation. The survey includes questions about what alums are doing now, plans they may have for furthering their education, and several general questions about how they see their Kenyon education after a year.

Kenyon alumni from the 5 and 10 year out classes are invited to participate in the HEDS Alumni Survey during May and June. The survey includes specific questions about Kenyon experiences and current career and education goals. The HEDS (Higher Education Data Sharing) consortium provides research support for private higher education institutions. Response rates vary by year, with 42.6% of invited alums responding in 2012 and 34.5% responding in 2013.
