Welcome to the students section of the Student Employment Office website.
Once students are hired by a department, there are few things that must be done in order to work on campus. First, students must complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Form by the first day of work and present appropriate identification within three days. Student will need to fill out four forms and give them to our office: the I-9, the Federal W-4, the State IT-4 and the Direct Deposit Form. Secondly, all Kenyon College employees have been designated as Responsible Employees under Title IX. As a Responsible Employee, you are required to report any Title IX violations reported to you or that you personally observe, to the College's Civil Rights/Title IX Coordinator, Samantha Hughes (firstname.lastname@example.org or 740-427-5820), Department of Campus Safety (740.427.5000), or your immediate supervisor as soon as possible. Additionally, all employees are required to report instances of suspected child abuse in accordance with the Ohio Law. As part of this responsibility, each student employee is required to complete the google form on the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/

Available student positions are posted in Symplicity. You can log into Symplicity through the student link on the CDO homepage, just by entering your Kenyon username and password. After you log in, please complete the following steps:
1. Under "Symplicity Shortcuts" select On-Campus Job Openings.
2. Click on the job titles you are interested in and follow the prompts to apply* for each position.
(*The application requirements may vary for each campus employer, but you are required to submit a resume to apply for positions through Symplicity. It is a good idea to develop a resume and a cover letter now so that they will be available to be uploaded when you start applying for campus jobs.)
When completing job applications, please indicate whether you are a Federal Work-study or Kenyon Institutional Work-study recipient in your resume, cover letter or another document. Please check the job postings frequently throughout the academic year.
If you would like to work on campus, you will need to bring appropriate identification with you to complete the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form, state and federal tax forms with the College. Per federal law, we must review original documents. Photocopies and faxed documents are NOT acceptable. Please refer to Page 3 of the I-9 form for a complete list of acceptable documents.
If you are hired for a student position, you must bring your proper IDs to the Student Employment Office, and complete the I-9 form, on or before your first day of work. You will record your hours on an online timesheet, and payment will be issued through direct deposit to your designated bank or credit union.
