She moved to Washington, DC for four years to write technical manuals for the Veterans Administration, and then returned to Gambier in 1979 as the Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs. She has also served Kenyon as grant writer, faculty secretary, Orientation assistant, contributing editor and assistant news director, and Major Gifts Officer. In the summer of 2013, she was appointed the Coordinator of Alumni Admissions Volunteers, managing the various programs of the Admissions Office through which alumni can support successive generations of Kenyon students. Her title and responsibilities morphed into her current position as Associate Director of Admissions in 2016.
Since graduating from Kenyon, Alice lived in Alexandria, VA, Gambier, OH, Santa Fe, NM, and Appleton, WI. She has visited six of the seven continents, and expects to add the last one to her roster before she retires in Gambier to become a crazy cat lady.
