A Gathering Place and Time for Faculty, Staff, and Administrators
In response to frequent suggestions that a place should be created for faculty and staff to gather informally, a new experiment is underway this semester!
Leach Dining Room (the large, private dining room downstairs in the Thomas Hall wing of Peirce) has been set aside on specific days between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for faculty and staff to gather informally and get to know their fellow employees.
Employees may purchase their lunch in the Peirce Servery or "brown bag it" for lunches. (No ordering food for delivery/catering, please.)

Amenities
In order to make coming to Common Ground lunches convenient and low-stress, a few amenities will be provided including a microwave to warm up your lunch, napkins and plasticware (in case you forget your own!), and an "e-mail kiosk" to send off quick notes to any colleagues you run into who yell "no shop talk!" on sight.
