Students participating in the Kenyon-Exeter program will pay Kenyon College tuition, room and board. This payment will cover Exeter tuition, a meal stipend and a room in a Kenyon approved flat. Students who wish to live in more expensive housing--for example, in en suite accommodation or on-campus studio flats--may do so but must pay the extra fees.
A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is due approximately two weeks after acceptance by Kenyon into the program. The $1,000 should be submitted to the Center for Global Engagement in the form of a check made payable to Kenyon College and marked Exeter Program deposit.
In the event that a program participant decides before the end of the academic year preceding the program that s/he does not wish to participate, the $1000 may be transferred from the program to Kenyon College. Thereafter, or if the student withdraws from the program and from Kenyon, the $1,000 will not be refunded.
Bills will be sent to students following the Kenyon billing schedule and will be due August 15 and December 15. After the program has begun, the program fee is not refundable, except in the case of incapacitating illness. The $1,000 program deposit is credited as part of the program fee.
Kenyon provides a meal stipend to each participant. In 2013-14 this stipend will be $2420 for each semester ($4840 total per student).
The tuition for the Kenyon-Exeter Program covers all group excursions, course-related travel and theater tickets, internet access in student residences, an allowance for joining Exeter student societies, and a basic mobile phone and some phone top-up costs.
Expenses for which the individual is responsible include transatlantic transportation; transportation from London to Exeter and back (at the beginning and end of the academic year); books; personal living expenses (e.g., laundry, mailing costs); food expenses beyond what the meal stipend will cover; and travel expenses.
