There are three terms at the University of Exeter. Below is the schedule for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Please note that students will be required to arrive in Exeter a few days before the beginning of the Autumn term for orientation or “Welcome Week.” The University will notify accepted students of the exact date during the preceding summer. In 2013, most students arrived on 14-15 September, and Welcome Week began on Monday 16 September.
One peculiarity of Exeter’s term system is that the final assessment for each term takes place during the first week of the subsequent term; for example, final Level 3 essays for Autumn term are due at the end of the first week of the Spring term (in 2013-14, on 10 January 2014). Exams for Level 2 modules and non-English courses will generally take place during the Summer term.
