The annual Fall Festival, sponsored by the Greek Council & Student Activities Office, provides students and families in the Kenyon College and surrounding community a fun and safe environment to celebrate Halloween and the fall season. Activities include trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, face painting, a maze, caramel apple making, a photo booth, costume contest, carnival games and storytelling. In addition, we will collect donations for Interchurch, a Knox county social service organization that offers financial, clothing and household aid to local families in need. The Fall Festival will encourage college students and local community members to donate new or gently used coats or winter accessories. Rain site Gund Ballroom.
While parents and students are twisting and shouting to Revolution Pie and Kenyon's own student DJs, kids, tweens, and teens will have some party options of their own!
It’s going to be a monstrous mash down at the Gambier Child Care Center on Inauguration Night – 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.! In honor of our new president’s academic discipline (Chemistry), we’re throwing a science-themed dance party for kids eight-and-under. A multi-colored disco ball will light up the night as the fabulous tunes of They Might Be Giants’ Here Comes Science fills the air! Each kid will receive science goggles in a fun color, a multi-colored test tube filled with science stickers, and lovely snacks from the Pink Cupcake and Lil Country Acre Gluten Free Bakery! DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18, AT 4:30 P.M. EST.
Please Note: there is also childcare for younger children during the Installation Ceremony itself – (11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.) Because these are WEEKEND EVENTS, the usual minimum of seven children is required for both the mid-day and evening sessions.
Kids nine-and-up are invited to celebrate the inauguration with a game night at Olin Library! (8:00 – 10:00 p.m.) Have you ever wanted to be a detective finding Clues in our Archives Reading Room? A race car driver racing your friends in Mario Kart on the big screen in Olin Auditorium? Practice thrashing on a bass guitar with Rock Band? There will also be board games, a scavenger hunt, and prizes to win! Come for the games, stay for the treats from the Pink Cupcake and Lil Country Acre Gluten Free Bakery!
REGISTRATION CLOSES ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18, AT 4:30 P.M. EST
